The lightweight sheets were perfect, though the winter duvets felt excessive.

A cozy and creative getaway!
We had the best time here! The room was so comfy, and all the little quirks made it feel super unique. Breakfast was delish—totally loved the Scottish spread. Mandy really nails the hosting thing. Only wish we had a room with a bit more space to stretch out, but the cozy vibe kinda made up for it.

We had a fantastic stay with perfectly presented rooms and enjoyed the amazing breakfast spread each morning. The garden area was a perfect spot to unwind after a busy day, and there were even some lovely relaxing nooks throughout. While we had to share the bathroom, it was manageable and didn't take away from our lovely visit at all. 😊

Family with children unforgettable experience
We had a most fantastic time! The breakfast selection was incredible, and I mean really delicious — I absolutely savored every bite of that full Scottish breakfast, felt like royalty. And those Tunnock's tea cakes? Kids went nuts over them. Plus, the décor was on another level, truly beautiful all around.
Sure, it wasn't exactly inexpensive but honestly felt worthy of every penny.

The eclectic decor really stands out, with unique artwork that gives the place character and charm. The charming common areas, particularly the cozy seating nooks, create a welcoming atmosphere to unwind.
One downside is the shared bathroom situation in an older building. it's just something that comes with the territory, though there are en suite options if you seek privacy. the attic room got uncomfortably warm during our stay, despite the provided fan, which might not be an issue on most nights in Scotland, but it caught us off guard this time. Dalbeattie has limited dining options, which could make food sourcing tricky if you’re not prepared.
